He’s shared the stage with legends such as Melba Moore, Freddie Jackson, Ray, Goodman & Brown Erykah Badu, Isaac Hayes, Levert and Deniece Williams. His breakout moment came when Ben E. King noticed his versatility on Sax/Vocals. Thus he was added to the “Supernatural Thing” worldwide tour for the next four years. Singing with The Drifters to performing alongside Shirley Alston Reeves of The Shirelles on *saxophone, L A’s versatility & personality has made him a sought-after talent relatable to all generations & genres.
📰 Featured on the cover of Indie-Magazine (Oct/Nov edition), L A continues to make waves with his group Jazz-Plus, performing at venues like the Queens & Bklyn Libraries, Black Spectrum Theater, Forest Hill Concert Series, Air-Tran Concert Series, & Jazz Vesper programs throughout the city He’s also a longtime member of iconic Funk/Dance bands Brass Construction & Crown Heights Affair, including a sold-out show at London’s Coronet Theatre.
🎤 As Musical Director for The Brooklyn Tonight Band at Barclays Center, L A helped shape a Johnny Carson-style variety show hosted by Borough President Marty Markowitz, and has also performed for current Borough President Eric Adams. His corporate gigs include working with Starlight Entertainment & flown out to Santa Barbara California to perform at Kevin Hart’s star-studded wedding.
🌍 L A’s global reach includes a performance for the Prince of Morocco’s birthday, and his engineering credits span icons like Whitney Houston, Kashif, George Benson, Denroy Morgan, France Joli and Najee.
